Recognizing Parasites:

  • Ich: Small white spots commonly cover entire body. Fish may have itching that causes it to scratch and rub against tank bottom.
  • Velvet: Tiny yellowish-white spots. Fish may lose body color and rub or scratch against tank bottom or decor.
  • Parasites: Visible spots, extra surface mucus or visible worms, rapid breathing and flashing (rubbing and scratching on tank bottom).

Directions for Use: As a treatment for Ich, Velvet and to aid in general external parasite disease prevention, add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per 4 gallons of water. Treats water for 1 month.

Note: Remove all invertebrates without an exoskeleton (anemones, jellyfish, etc.) from aquarium prior to treatment. Copper-Aid may be harmful to plants and some snails. DO NOT OVERDOSE.

No water changes, temperature or pH level adjustments are required prior to treatment. Maintain all normal filtration and air flow. Replace carbon after completion of the treatment. During water changes, treat replacement water with Copper-AID. For ornamental pond and aquarium fish use only. Not for human, medical or food fish use.

GREAT PRODUCT!

Kordon Copper-Aid saves fish with Velvet (Remove invertebrates without an exoskeleton, suckers, snails, plants from aquarium). Follow directions. Use aquarium salt as directed (Not table salt). Remove filter. Turn aquarium heater to 83 or 84 degrees. Keep light off and cover-up aquarium to block out light. To clean, drain the entire tank and re-do again if dirty. Treat for 1 month. This saves many fish from Velvet. GREAT PRODUCT!

A MUST HAVE FOR KILLING OFF PARASITES

A MUST HAVE FOR KILLING OFF PARASITES PERMANENTLY! Just remember to stay in the safe range, or you will kill your fish from the copper! I think once the parasite has entered a fish, its going to die... Then spread RAPIDLY! If you notice anything like bloating, popeye, or No abdomen- its a PARASITE! Add copper medication to save those not infected IMMEDIATELY! You'll lose a few more but the parasite will die and your fish unaffected will live :) Copper meds are the only meds i've seen work for a parasite epidemic. COPPER IS KEYI used this in my 30 gallon fish tank that was infested with ick. My 55 gallon also came down with ick days later (contaminated live plants) and just turned up the heater and added salt. The 55 was easier to get rid of. The 30 gallon was a little longer because of fear of killing my fish. But all fish survived in both tanks. So if you must use chemical treatment then this is a good one to buy. Just FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY!After fails of many products, this one finally worked! Fish almost died though but recovered with only one dying. and that's after adding many products and eventually this one into the hospital tank. Took 2 weeks for me after adding this.
